I went to Google's Life Magazine archives and typed "game show" and FYI, you'll find a ton of neat photos of 50s-era game shows by doing that. But I wanted to share this one in particular because I think it's pretty spiffy. It's a photo of an office backstage at "Dotto," with a few of the connect-the-dots pictures used in past episodes hanging on the walls. One of the pictures should be of interest to us.

Wow, is it!!   The doors inside my apartment are exactly the same as that "315" door!

Seriously, though, nice find.

That is a great find, thanks!

Now, what sort of building was this, that there would be a "315" on a door like that? The room structure almost looks like an apartment building. Where did the show shoot in NYC?

Looks like an office.

Isn't that Harry Truman next to B.C.?

If so, then I seriously need my eyes examined.

And that is a cool pic of Bill.

Any other suggestions from the crowd?

Can we nominate Dotto Bill for the northwest corner?

Looks like Truman to me as well.   There is a slight resemblance between he and FDR at first glance.  Also, I'm thinking that a caricature of FDR would include a cigarette holder in his mouth.

Even better: "quiz show" yielded 200 images to "game show"'s 42. Unfortunately, most are nondescript images of a Czech quiz show. There is, however, a haunting picture of Charles Van Doren.
