Quick question about the Jeopardy online test.
« on: February 01, 2009, 01:18:57 PM »
I took the test this past Tuesday, and I still haven't gotten my results back.

Do they still email you, even if you failed it? I've taken it twice before, and each time I got an email back saying my score wasn't good enough for an in-person audition.

I believe this year, they're not emailing you if you failed.

I never got any emails from them any of the times I took the test and I know I failed it at least once.
I suppose you can still learn stuff on TLC, though it would be more in the Goofus & Gallant sense, that is (don't do what these parents did)"- Travis Eberle, 2012

I never got any e-mails from them saying I failed the test either, and I don't believe they send out failure/passing e-mails.  They only contact you if they want you to audition.

About how long after taking the test do they send an email, if you do pass?

I'd like to know this myself. From what I understood they said that they can contact you any time between now and the next online test, but I'd thing something would be set in stone, no?

I took the online test last year. The next morning, at 6:30am, I got an email saying my score was not good enough to get an interview.

What I'd like to know is why some people are getting emails and others aren't.

Nope...the first time I took the online test was January 2007, and I didn't hear a peep from J! until July, when I got an e-mail inviting me to an audition in Culver City.

(And that audition was 17-1/2 months before this year's online test, so I was ineligible.)

So has J! now finished with any kind of "open call" auditions?  Does everyone have to do the online test, even for the LA bookings?

I'd really like to see Wheel of Fortune do these sorts of tests, instead of "pick a dummy from a drum." [No offense to the above poster. ;)]

None taken :) (For those of you playing at home, I was Dummy #37 at my tryout).

Do you not have to do the Wheelmobile pre-screen then on to the tryout proper?

I think they still have Brain Bus events, but if you took the online test this year you can't take another 30 question test this year.

Yes, everyone does.  I'm not even sure how often they do auditions in L.A. these days -- it was once a month under the open system, but I have a feeling it's less now.

I'd be inclined to think that way myself.

I did a little independent research myself last night...appparently you still have to take and pass the standard Jeopardy! test (for those who don't know, and I'm sure there's a couple- 50 questions one at a time displayed on a TV screen, pen and paper, still have to get 35 to pass.).
