GSN schedule upheaval March 30th

I've been DVRing the new-to-me episodes of $25K/$100K Pyramid each day, and I've noticed that the quality on the $25K eps is much worse than the $100K eps.

Would these have been stored in a different place or processed differently than the $100K eps? Why would good quality copies of one show exist but not the other?

Isn't the quality on the 1985 $25K episodes, the same as the quality of the 1985 $100K episodes?

I will be pretty disappointed if picture quality is the main reason why GSN has been so relucant to show all of The New $25K Pyramid.

I'm so glad that someone has said something about this because I thought either my TV was f*cked, my eyes were f*cked or I was simply going crazy.  Granted, all three of these could still be true but at least now I know I'm not the only one who noticed the difference...:)

I totally disagree with Mitch.

I'm watching an episode with Teresa Ganzel & Ed Begley, Jr. and the picture quality looks pretty good to me. Almost exactly the same way that an episode from the 1985-1986 season of $100K Pyramid would look like.

To me, the image looks a bit ghosted, and I feel like my eyes aren't focused. The quality is MUCH worse than the $100K eps, which look pristine. I have an HDTV, which certainly doesn't help matters when trying to watch sub-standard quality SD shows...can't watch GSN on any other TV in the house since it's in the digital tier.

I saw that episode last night as well...It was definitely more the exception than the rule. That one's quality didn't look too bad.

/Ed Begley, Jr. has a twin?
