Well, Jerry Springer announced he wasn't coming back to AGT next season (I didn't even hear about it), but NBC has already chosen his heir- Nick Cannon. Nick...Cannon. This is gonna be interesting, to say the least.

So, is Cannon a good choice, or should NBC have chosen somebody else?

Fact To Make You Feel Old: Just about every contestant who appears in a Price is Right Teen Week episode from here on out has only known a world where Drew Carey has been the host.

To paraphrase Peter Marshall, I would have rather chosen Nick Clooney, but this may work out.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

Is Cannon now the first Nickelodeon *kid* star (Mike O'Malley doesn't count) to get a series on a Big 4 network (sorry, Amanda, The WB doesn't count)?  No Disney Channel kid has yet to make the jump (of course, Hillary Duff and Shia LaBoeuf went right to the movies).

Kenan Thompson is on SNL.  Melissa Joan Hart had an ABC series, if memory serves.

Oh yeah--"Sabrina the Teenaged Witch."  It started at ABC and moved to The WB, right?

Yes...I think it only lasted one season on the WB.
"I just wanna give a shoutout to my homies in their late-30s who are watching this on Paramount+ right now, cause they couldn't stay up late enough to watch it live!"

Now celebrating his 21st season on GSF!

On the other hand, Raven-Symone was on a "Big 4" series before jumping to Disney.

Refreshing that I wasn't the only one who did that.

Nick Cannon is married to Mariah Carey, if anyone cares.

For me, Jerry was the perfect host for this show, because AGT has as much "schlockiness" as Jerry's own "talk" show.

As for Nick... we'll see.

I thought his question was rhetorical.

It worked on two levels: one, I honestly had no idea who he was, and two, when I DID know who he was, I still thought he was a nobody. :)

Nick Cannon was on Drumline, one of my very favorite guilty pleasure movies. That's what I know him from...
