I suggest it's a LOT different. The ROI of a roulette bet, even stick-it-all-on-00, is a LOT higher than a lottery ticket. On a $10 bet, the odds of a $360 payout, the longest shot on the table, is, what, 37-to-1. You're not getting CLOSE to that with the lottery. (According to

Something that I don't believe you factored in is the fact that you have a chance to win a smaller prize on the lottery ticket, while if you go $10 straight up on a single number in roulette, its win $360 or nothing at all.
