Goodnight Bennett Cerf, Wherever You Are

This is apparently what happens when you spend too many days in a row staying up watching Black and White Overnight.  I hope you B&WO fans are as amused as I was!

Song:  http://milla.dmusic.com
Lyrics: http://milla.dmusic.net/journals.php?journalid=29906
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.
Stay tuned for all the obsessive-compulsive fun of Words Have Meanings.

Well, it's about 500,000 times better than Dawson's "Apples & Oranges".  I think Matt said it best though, I'll just reword it... That must be the product of too many days in a row watching B&W overnight.

Maybe the Beach Boys should cover this Cerf music...

Seriously, Matt, how did you find this gem? A Random (House) search?
This isn't a plug, but you can ask me about my book.

I think Mr. Cerf and Mr. Daly both would be pleased with the punning you guys have come up with!  Cerf the web?  Genius!

As for finding it, there is now an extensive What's My Line? site at TV Tome (the same people have made a Yahoo group as well).  Somebody on the TV Tome message board had posted a link to it.

Wow.  I don't know whether that's ingenious or insane.  The lyrics are great, though.

That was a nice happy song.  Let's all stand and raise our martini glasses to "Chuckles" Cerf and all the Sunday night gang.

Wow!

It's really a neat little song.  Yes, I'd say I'm amused, too.

Out of curiosity, didn't Dick Dale play electric guitar on that song?

Dick Dale, for those of you who are too young to remember, is known 'round the world as "King of the Cerf Guitar".

And his big hit Miserlou later re-gained popularity when it was featured in the 1994 film Pulp Fiction, along w/several other early '60s "surf" instrumentals.
