I thought I posted this, but I guess not. I saw a screen shot of WoF in which a contestant had a negative score in front of him. The simplest explanation for it would be that when they had the BaV space, you could end up with a negative score. (I also STR that they had a $200 minimum to shop with if you won the round, so solving in that situation didn't create a rules problem.)
