Or that I could get people fired if I tried to explain it -- as I've tried to explain to you a number of times, and still with no success.

Well, if there's such a problem, why do you even bother relaying said information in the first place?
I suppose you can still learn stuff on TLC, though it would be more in the Goofus & Gallant sense, that is (don't do what these parents did)"- Travis Eberle, 2012

Because I would prefer not to have people spreading information that isn't true.

Yet no one can verify your stories because of your unwillingness to reveal your sources.

Either say who you got the info from or don't bother posting it. You're not doing yourself or your source any favors.

Chances are you're probably gonna get said source fired no matter what you do.

Dude, it doesn't matter who I got the info from -- it's already been stated publicly that Drew can and does fire people.  The fact that you don't want to believe that either isn't really my problem.

And when said information comes in without a source, according to you I'm instantly supposed to give it credence. Okay.

You keep on giving out information without revealing your source. I'll just file it as being full of blankety blank and we'll all move on, deal?

The difference is most of the stuff on the news can be verified.

Steve's "source." And if Steve's "sources" say it, even though no one can verify, it MUST be true!

Well, then I apologize for the major news organizations not covering The Price Is Right as closely as you might like.  Golden-Road's about the best source of info you're gonna find on it, and it's not really our fault if you choose not to believe us.

No, I mean where was it stated publicly in a valid news/news media forum with a named quoted source.  Please give a link to that.

That is the confirmation message.  Nanny works at Fremantle and has a history of posting things like this before anyone else knows about them.

EDIT:  And, uh, deleting that post so you could replace it with some snark edited into the one farther up the page turned out to be kinda pointless, didn't it?

Guys, I work for a school district.  Some of us are happy with our jobs.  Some of us are afraid we're going to get fired.  Some of us like our superintendent.  Some of us liked it better when our old superintendent was in charge.  Some of us can't believe what an idiot school board we have.  Some of us consider ourselves lucky that we have such a great school board looking out for us.  And some of us tell a lot of this to our friends and even to acquaintances we don't know that well.  And of course, when we DO tell an outsider, we tell our stories from our personal points of view, which may not match someone else's.

It's called a workplace.  I hear there are a lot of them out there.  Surely I can't be the only one to figure out that maybe SOME people at Price are fearful for their jobs and SOME people at price are happy because Drew makes the place so much fun and SOME people miss the way Barker used to run things and SOME people think it's never been better and SOME people think it's never been worse and some people are just happy to be getting a paycheck and leave the drama for Guiding Light. (Whoops, bad example...)

I'm sorry, but every single one of you needs to grow up a little.  And this is coming from a 48-year-old man-child who has nothing better to do at two in the morning than wade through this crap, so I know what I'm talking about.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.
