Wasn't there a pilot for a revival of The Who What or Where Game before The Challengers?  Because I saw on Jay Lewis' Game Show Winners List that the late Randy Amasia was a contestant on the pilot.  And if so, who hosted it, and who announced?  Was it for network or syndication?

Thanks!

Mr. Greenberg, I think this one's for you [if you're still lurking in these parts]....
There are three things I've learned never to discuss with people: Religion, politics, and the proper wrapping of microphone cables.

I can answer one of your questions, Jamey.
Hosting the pilot was......Ron Greenberg.
If Ron's not around anytime soon, I'm certain Randy West will be along with additional information.

Our good Mr. Greenberg just asked me to remind him how to get back on the forum, so I think we're about to get the answers to some of our questions.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.
Stay tuned for all the obsessive-compulsive fun of Words Have Meanings.

 Hi there,

There have been no recent pilots of the Who What or Where Game. The last "version" of the show was The Challengers hosted by Dick Clark. If some pilot of the show was made I'd be  very interested  in the details of such a pilot.

Here's some good news for all.  My partner Don Lipp are happy to let you know the a new power packed version of THE MONEY MAZE will be piloted in France for the French Network F1. This was made possible through the efforts of Phil Gurin and The Gurin Company.

We'll keep you all posted.

Warmest regards to all.

Question for Ron: Is anything you can say about Bullseye, regardless it's early stage of development as a version of The Who, What, or Where game?

Good luck with the new Money Maze. :)

Dan,
I might have goofed on my reply re: Bullseye, but here we go again.

While producing at Barry & Enright years ago, I came up with a new version of  the Who What or Where Game. Spinning windows with W's, Q&A, cash, challenges, and all the pzazzzz. As my "creation" moved along, it slowly disolved into "Son Of Joker" or as we know it today, Bullseye.

Best regards,

Ron Greenberg

What fun that version of "Bullseye" would have been!

And what fun it will be to see the Maze again.  Congratulations!

And here's a short blurb from earlier this month in an industry journal about the deal:

Wow, that would've been a cool version of The 3 W's! Would one window have had the W's, the second the category, and then the third the amount (or something like that)? Thanks for sharing Mr. Greenberg.

I placed a review of the original "Who, What Or Where Game" on imdb.
In it, I suggested that the show be revived but, like "Jeopardy!", in its
original format but with higher stakes.  And don't get a comedian to
emcee; the "3Ws" is similar to "Jeopardy!" and needs a host who, like
Alex Trebek, is all-business.
