Singing Bee About To Buzz Back?

Craigslist currently features a posting with these details:
Do you listen to country music and other popular genres?
DO YOU WANT TO WIN BIG MONEY!!??

"The Singing Bee" is looking for contestants for its new season.
If you're interested in auditioning, please send us your information
And we will get back to you with details regarding times and locations.

So, it looks like the NBC show (which hasn't aired a new episode in almost eighteen months) is coming back. The official site notes that "there's a buzz that the Bee is coming back soon." I dunno how long it's been since that's been updated, though.

Also, I wonder if country music being the primary genre mentioned has any impact on the program and where it might turn up.

EDIT: Another Craigslist posting mentions that The hit show, "The Singing Bee" has gone country so it looks like that is indeed the direction the show will take.

Sounds like CMT's kind of show.  If NBC can't get it back, CMT will pick it up.
Finally got to see your episode of "Password", Chad. Congratulations! You were terrific.
Thanks a lot, Jill. I had a great time. :)
For anyone wondering, this is Jill Scott, who helped coordinate on Million Dollar Password. I mentioned her in my "essay" on the show. She knows her stuff and it was really cool of her to share some details on the new show.
With the pending return of the Bee, this must be relived: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NCmdVw7N_F8

That's great news. I loved the show on NBC, and always felt it deserved another shot...

Now celebrating his 22nd season on GSF!

Hi Chad,

Yes, "The Singing Bee" is coming back. Only with a slightly altered format. It will be airing on CMT and the format will be 60% Country and 40% other popular genres.
If that 6 were turned upside down, I bet I could really kick tail as a contestant. And actually, as much non-video content as CMT has shown in recent years, I'm surprised it took them so long to snap up a game show.

If you didn’t create it, it isn’t your content.

Actually, come to think of it, most modern pop music is so cookie cutter that I could probably fake my way through some bland pop ballad. (Hint: If the line you're given ends in "girl", then the next line will invaribly end with "world". Same with "together" and "forever".)

Precisely so. The country angle completely squashes any interest I have in the show. But, hey, different strokes.
