Actually, it sounds kind of complicated for Fremantle imho. But I figured with GSN being the poker pushers that they are, this would be something they would bring to the states.

I thought ABC came close to doing this one, only to choose Show Me the Money and/or Set for Life instead?

/No, I don't get it either

It was for Shatner.  GSN's problem with this would be it would have to run sequential and the stakes may be a little high.  Hell of a concept, though.  It was appointment downloading for me.

Actually, when Australia did a version last year, each show was self-contained (they didn't do a tournament), so GSN could do a version without having to air them sequentially...

If this is what you're thinking of, not even close.

The one episode of Poker Face I saw on YouTube (Series 1, Episode 1) was frickin' great.  I'm still dumbstruck that ABC took a pass on this, gave Shat and Kimmel their turds, and gave Duel the event-programming run.  If this had aired on our shores, and the format didn't get screwed with or dumbed-down, people stateside might actually know who Ant and Dec are.

/and, er, get the quick throwaway line with them in "Love Actually," maybe
//what?  it's my fiancee's favorite movie
///okay, yeah, I like it too
////cracks open beer, fires gun

There used to be some on YouTube, but this Lady GaGa chick seems to have ruined that search for everyone. I remember UKNova carried the second season, but I'm guessing there are no seeds anymore.

It is VERY worth seeking out. You might be able to find "The Con Test", which is the Australian version, but if you can find the UK ones it's worth the trouble just to see Ant & Dec work. Freakin' brilliant.

Found the Aussie version of Poker Face, Con Test, here. It's like Weakest Link except you vote yourself off! (I am the weakest link. Goodbye!) BTW, Is anybody else growing tired of the cliched dark sets and pounding theme music of prime time game shows?
