Looking for a list of good "Password" words.
« on: June 20, 2009, 01:13:49 PM »
I'm having a board game night tonight, and everyone wants Password, but nobody has a copy, and I think mine was lost during SATs.

So I'm looking for a good-sized list of words that we can use to play some Password.

Any help?

Check your local resale/thrift shop. Chances are, they may have a copy of the home game. Pull them from there.
There are three things I've learned never to discuss with people: Religion, politics, and the proper wrapping of microphone cables.

Seconded.

Although, if you wan't to do things à la Password Plus and Super Password, the board game Taboo works remarkably well.  Use the five illegal words as the passwords and the main word as the puzzle.

I just happened to have some typed out that I used in a game once where I had a visual element on a tv screen.

DoorNumberFour, I found some of them and if you would like I can send them to you. I have main game words and an easier list of Lightning Round words. I thought we could PM but I guess not, and your email is private. Shows how much I try to use that function.....

Hell, can't Endless Fifth be had at your local Tar-Zhay or We "B" Toyz?

I found it at a B&N last summer and it was inexpensively priced as such there.

Really? Post of the Year for "Use a dictionary?" It doesn't take any effort to say "Use a dictionary."

If you can't find a Password set (and if you can't, you haven't looked that hard) I'd suggest Charades or Pictionary, which can also be found at your friendly thrift store.
If you didn’t create it, it isn’t your content.

Now, now, Travis.  We're still in the nomination stages.  There're still plenty of more eye rolling inspiring posts to be had.  Besides, he didn't say "Use a dictionary." He said, "Webster has a book."  You quoted it, in fact.  And the reply wouldn't have been nearly as funny were it worded the way you thought it was.  (Is Words Have Meanings on summer hiatus, or what?)  Don't think it's funny?  Then don't vote for it on December 28th, just four short days before the official Post of the Year is announced.
