I see from the ep. guide on Supershow 8000 that the week of "Airwolf" celebrities was in late Dec. 1985. Was the set decorated for Xmas? It's been so long since Clark Pyramid was regularly run, I can't remember. Anyhow, they are up to the Anita Gilette/Dick Cavett week with 4 shows only.

The set was indeed decorated for Christmas, but USA also skipped this week when they reran the series years ago. Maybe a Jean Bruce Scott veto...?

I'll take your post over Beverly's idea, his email was saying that GSN was leasing "blocks" of shows. I doubt that, they've run everything in the current season thus far.

That's Professor Beverly to you, whelp.
As for Jean Bruce Scott, if she truly is responsible for this loss of content, then to blazes with her. Yet another reason to loathe her. I couldn't stand her on Days Of Our Lives, Airwolf, St. Elsewhere and everything else she was in. She can take her unfounded ego and pitch it to the four winds for all I care. And the same with Fern Fitzgerald and every other so-called "star" who thinks they can dictate our game show enjoyment. Shouldn't have done the show in the first place if you were so ashamed.

She really wouldn't have anything to be ashamed of, if she did indeed veto her appearance. She wasn't a terrific player, but she did have three trips to the Winner's Circle. Heck, that's more than Ed Begley Jr. and Henry Polic II had when each of them played the game for the first time.

Who did they each play against their first time, and how many times did they make it to the bonus? The only time I noticed a celeb come up less than stellar was when Soupy went against Shelley Smith on the 100k Pyramid and had 6/7 round after 6/7 round, only getting to the Winner's Circle a handful of times.

Add Betty Thomas, James Sikking, Valerie Bertinelli, Anitra Ford, David Leisure, and Bob Barker to that list.

Ok you lost me here, are you talking about egos in general, or people that played on Pyramid? I sure dont remember Barker appearing on there.

In each of their first two visits to the show, Henry and Ed only won 2 out of their 10 games. Henry played against Patty Duke and Vicki Lawrence his first two times, and Ed played against Betty White and Martha Smith. They both did very well their third times out, though: Henry hit for $10,000 three times, and Ed won $10,000 twice in the receiving chair.

Oh, but the clues and responses could get quite humorous if he did.

Enjoy lots and lots of backstage TPIR photos and other fun stuff here. And yes, I did park in Syd Vinnedge's parking spot at CBS

According to this PDF file, Jean Bruce Scott's week WILL be shown on GSN after all. So it wasn't a celebrity clearance issue after all (Brendan, get that DVDR of yours ready).

Unfortunately, also according to the PDF schedules, GSN will be starting the 1985-1986 package all over again come New Year's Day 2010 (And I was enjoying these episodes, too. At least I recorded the majority of them, though).

BTW Don Howard, I think you owe her an apology.

EDIT: If it's actually true that she vetoed her week at one point, could it be that she was unhappy with USA Network giving her the sack on Airwolf? Keep in mind that Airwolf aired for 4 seasons (the first three aired on CBS, the last one aired on USA Network, and she was in the second and third seasons of that show). So maybe with GSN now airing $25K Pyramid instead of USA Network, she suddenly had a change of heart.

I saw the same file gameshowlover87 did. It's up there.

What's really confusing is what I see listed at 3:30 am ET on weeknights. The listings revert to Password, but with some skippage over the weekends. My suspicion is that they popped those shows into the template before the decision was made to switch to IGAS, and they were never updated.

I rather like the fact that they're bumping the final week of 100K a couple days instead of wasting two tournament episodes on days where it will only air in the overnight spot. Instead, they're airing two of the Siebert/Herring blind players' shows. (It also means I'll be using less space on my tape when I go out of town.)
Protecting idiots from themselves just leads to more idiots.

If I had to guess, I'd say that when Liberty Media got invovled with GSN, they divided up the entire run of The New $25,000 Pyramid into 8 different packages for these following sets:

September 1982-June 1983
June 1983 (Remainder)-March 1984
March 1984 (Remainder)-December 1984
December 1984 (Remainder)-August 1985
September 1985-June 1986
June 1986 (Remainder)-March 1987
March 1987 (Remainder)-November 1987 (Several weeks of first-run episodes unavailable due to Iran-Contra hearings, hence the presumably  shorter package)
November 1987 (Remainder)-July 1988

That's the only logical theory I can come up with. Of course if I'm wrong, feel free to debunk me.

I do know the same thing applies for its $100K nighttime edition counterpart. They divided that version up into 3 different packages:

September 1985-September 1986
September 1986 (Remainder)-September 1987
September 1987 (Remainder)-September 1988
