Would GSN be able to do a Rod tribute?  Would Freemantle even consider letting them?

Fremantle wouldn't let them show any TPIR clips if they were to do a Rod tribute(as GSN doesn't have the rights to air TPIR anymore), but they could show clips from Press Your Luck and from his appearances on Combs Feud with the TPIR cast. The Love Connection shows they have are from 1991-92, several years after his last shows announcing Love Connection aired.

also from the not that they would but they could department...they could show one of those awful NNG84 abc eps with Lange they tourture us with every april fool's day.

Actually since I think Rod's best work was from PYL not TPIR i could see a PYL heavy Rod tribute with his TPIR vs Y&R feud eps mixed in.

Did Rod appear much on "Press Your Luck"? (on camera that is?)
The "Family Feud" footage certainly would work, especially with the TPIR-esque intro. Or they could just put a pic of Rod on-screen with his name and DOB and DOD. Anything. Come on GSN!

Maybe once or twice. Certainly nowhere close to the frequency that he did on TPiR.

Or, you know what I thought of just now?  Rod did sub for Gene Wood on
a few episodes towards the end of the Combs run, as well;  I'll bet GSN could
show those, if they wanted to (not that they would according to everyone else here, of course).

And if they do air some PYL as a tribute - it would be really cool if they aired the ep. where he said "Dinet Gorming" rather than Gormet Dining - a classic.

It's just a darn shame GSN doesn't have rights to TPIR, a 24 show/24 hour tribute to Rod would be just the thing.

 You're joking right?
