While completely ignoring any of the actual CONTENT of the article...

...that was STILL a horribly-written pile of steaming shiat.

Nice clip of Bob Eubanks guest hosting America's Top 10, however.

Didn't read any of the content after the first sentence -- Who Wants To Be A Millionaire is/was a "flash in the pan"!??!?

The author included Jim Lange and Chuck Barris, but no Bill Cullen, Tom Kennedy, or Dick Clark. Not to sound like a fanb0i, but the author is an idiot who needs to do some more research.

Not to mention this gem:

You can catch many of these that no longer air on the Game Show Network, or, you can obviously watch “Wheel of Fortune” and “Jeopardy” every single night on CBS (in many markets).
Since when?
"They're both Norman Jewison movies, Troy, but we did think of one Jew more famous than Tevye."

Now celebrating his 22nd season on GSF!

Compared to other lists like this that we've seen, I give the author a lot of credit for just knowing who Jim Lange and Chuck Barris (not to mention Bud Collyer) even are.  In that sense, this isn't such a bad list.  Remove Chuckie Baby, and the lowest any of his choices hit on our list from 2006 is #31 (Lange) and nine of his 13 are in our top twenty.  So really all we're complaining about are the omissions, which are striking but explainable for someone who's pretty obviously a child of the eighties and not specifically a game show fan.

You want weird, look at some of the "you forgot" comments in the responses.  Summer Sanders?  Jimmy Pardo?

No, no, I was complaining about the grammatical, spelling, and typographical errors, and the overall piss-poor quality of the writing. :)

it's one of the 50 zillion blogs out there.  It's worth the paper it's written on.  Oh wait...

The "(in many markets)" wording was added after I noted on Digg that the programs are syndicated and probably "happen to air on a CBS station in the author's market."  The amended text remains incorrect, of course (as the programs don't air "on CBS" in any market).  Why he didn't simply change "on CBS" to "in syndication" is beyond me.

He also originally had #5 spelled "Chuck Wolery."

Except it now appears that "on CBS (in many markets)" is a correction that still shows a staggering lack of understanding about the basic operation of television.  So yeah, the thing you said about the grammatical, spelling, and typographical errors, and the overall piss-poor quality of the writing?  OK, that.

From Brent in the blog's comments section:
"As I got near the end I was starting to get worried. “Where’s Bob Barker!?!” Fortunately my fears were unwarranted. :D"
Yes, boy, Daddy made the list. Your worst fears have not been realized.

Yeah, no one under the age of fifty should be writing a list of great game show hosts. It's like comparing current baseball greats with those from the 1920s.

I think people over the age of 50 shouldn't be allowed to use the internet, because they used typewriters in school, not computers.  See how that works?

Confusion regarding the distinction between a network and its affiliates frustrates me to no end.

I wish that I had a dollar for every instance in which I've encountered such a misunderstanding.  ("No, you're wrong!  The 'Seinfeld' reruns air on Fox!")
