My opinion is yes there should be about 15 or 20 seconds.

Indeed, my friend. Hence, "seems".
Ten seconds for a bonus round puzzle seems like ample time to me. Unfortunately, the puzzles have become so off-the-wall in recent years that all the time in the world (yes, I know Words Have Meanings) still wouldn't help.
Calling the A, like most players do, would give you a better shot. Still a hard one though.
but there was one in the last week that left me and my co-workers shaking our heads because it was so ridiculous.
This actually falls into the category of Playing the Game All the Time. When the wheel is spinning, plan your letters, and what you'll pick depending on how high the money is. Allow the category to roll around in your brain. Use your knowledge of how vowels and consonants work with each other so you know whether certain letters just can't be there. And know that the Wheel of Fortune writers have a severe and long standing case of logorrhea. Gone are the days where "JON STEWART" would be a "Person: does not necessarily mean Proper Name" to be replaced by STRAPPING GOOD LOOKING YOUNG MAN RYAN SEACREST.

Or something.
Plus with what you said Ethan, that would not even be fair to everyone at all.  Some won't even get it within 30 seconds anyway.  Abba is right, 10 is plenty when you have the choice of eight consonants and two vowels.
Erwha? Can anyone explain this to me?
If you didn’t create it, it isn’t your content.

I'd probably nail that, even if I didn't call the H (which I believe is vastly under-rated and should be part of your package virtually every time).  The position of the T means the first word virtually has to start with a vowel, and with only three choices, 'UT--' would have to cross my mind eventually.

Doesn't hurt that Utah's been one of my favorite teams, ever since the NBA JAM days.

I will be very interested to check out the upcoming Wii game. Although it's gonna take a lot to beat out the NBC-branded one on the Dreamcast.

I tried using that on the air once when I was calling a San Jose State game. I learned that what works for Tim Kitzrow does not work for Chris Lemon.

Totally Off-Topic:

Anybody else remember how to get the rare NBA Jam quote: "Bad Decision."?

Failing to release a jump-shot (or a dunk) before the end-of-quarter horn, wasn't it?

I, sir, am highly impressed. You may advance to the endgame.

And a hat tip for you giving me the name Tim Kitzrow. Always wondered who the voice belonged to.
