I haven't been paying attention to the late night airings for quite awhile now.  When did this happen?

Is this true?  First I've heard of it, and I'd really like to know so I can reset my TiVo.

According to Buzzerblog, the first episode that is scheduled to air is 7/17/52. Is it a cigarette-sponsored episode? If not, then who sponsored it?

It started last night with an episode from 1952. According to the PDF Schedules, GSN will be airing it for two weeks, then going back to Password on December 21st.

Here are the episodes of IGAS they will be airing:

12/07: 7/17/52
12/08: 11/4/63
12/09: 5/18/64
12/10: 3/30/64
12/11: 11/11/63
12/14: 2/15/61
12/15: 4/6/64
12/16: 5/11/64
12/17: 11/16/64 (Steve Allen hosts)
12/18: 11/6/61

Thanks, Xavier.

I can't really make sense of why these particular episodes were chosen, except that the one last night represents the earliest surviving show.  All the other early 60s shows just seem to be a hodgepodge of unrelated episodes, not even airing in chronological order.  Some of them are interesting (the last one is the episode where Vivian Vance teaches the panel how to play Password) and some, frankly, aren't.

None of them are cigarette episodes, which isn't surprising.  What is surprising is that they're showing IGAS at all, much less for two weeks of scattered shows.  My understanding was that they passed on the rights to all but a handful of titles, and that the genuine classic B&W shows, with the exception of Password, were not among the ones they kept.

I'll check with some folks and see if I can find out more.

I'm a bit skeptical of this.  Maybe the info isn't quite up to date on December 21st and onward...

I would tend to believe the PDFs, which come from the network and seem to be pretty accurate.  Moreover, if IGAS was returning to the schedule on a regular basis, it makes even less sense for the episodes to be in no particular order.

Regarding the accuracy of the .pdf's, the 4/8 and 4/15/63 shows were supposed to air on the 14th and 15th of November, skipping 4/22. The G-T guide says there's no contestant information available on the 4/8 show (Jeanne Crain and Richard Boone). When 11/14 rolled around, they showed the 4/15 and 4/22 shows. That said, the .pdf's are usually right—at the time they're distributed.

Well, I hope they're accurate in this case.  I've been enjoying and saving the Password episodes and hoped they would go though the rest of the run.

And as someone who loves the classic I've Got a Secret but finds 60s Password to be fairly dry, I'd be perfectly content if they left I've Got a Secret on in an extended run.

The PDF is showing Meredithnaire moving to 330am. I guess they are burning those off and not buying any more seasons of it

Is that the last slot before they go to infomercials for the night?

Correct.

That's only for weekends, and that change already happened a couple of weeks ago.
