I call shenanigans.  There is room for only one pinata around here.

Actually the pilot was hosted by Tom Kennedy. But it wasn't picked up. Anybody got a gameplay of an unsold pilot of "Evesdroppers"?

When you're at the grocery game and you hear the beep, think of all the fun you could have at "Crazy Rachel's Checkout Counter!"

I'd bet Matt Ottinger has the Eavesdroppers home game.

Thing is, though, he's right.  He knows about this stuff.  I'm fascinated by someone so clearly clueless and knowledgeable at the same time.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.
Stay tuned for all the obsessive-compulsive fun of Words Have Meanings.
Unlike the Mexican counterpart, which brought new contestants every day, this version had a singular returning contestant.  Also, instead of traveling to local villages to allow townspeople a crack at whacking the contestant, this version promised a panel of "Whacking Wizards", who would rotate in and out of the "Hitting Heptagon", trying to win prizes for home viewers.  The "Whacking Wizards" on this pilot included game show legend Matt Ottinger, radio personality T. Jay Dexter and JoAnne Worley.

Although an exciting show to watch, it may suffer from the "what can you do next" syndrome.  Although Mel Brooks is right that comedy is tragedy happening to someone else, without some variance, the show will likely get stale fast.  One idea would be to allow the panelists to choose a new piñata.  Other ideas include extra money for hitting the "secret organ", or allow the piñata to earn money for a home viewer by not screaming in agony, much like Make Me Laugh.
And this right here is why I actually like when Fan4Sure posts, as it becomes fodder for some of the most creative putdowns I've ever read in my life.

Oh, I thought it was the pilot for the DIY Channel in which a contestant picks one house out of 4 or 5 on a cul-de-sac, and won whatever they found in that house's gutters.

IIRC, it was in the 3rd pilot that was shot that the contestant took the $250 'safe bet' after being told it was only an "old baseball" that was in the gutter.  It wasn't until after the contestant locked in his choice when they revealed that it was a baseball signed by Micky Mantle, Willie Mays AND Babe Ruth that was valued at over $100K.

I think the DIY pilot's working title was "Downspout You Go".
Not so fast this time, General. I have a handshake arrangement with Jeff Zucker on this project.
Just make sure after a few months, you replace Fan4Sure with Jay Leno.  :)
No, no. Jay's safe at 11:35 for two years. Promise.
Don, I think you misunderstood.  I didn't mean replace the show with a whole different show hosted by Leno, I meant to say replace the Fan4Sure Pinata with a Jay Leno Pinata (the "weak spot" would be in the chin).  The ratings will soar as viewers will watch Leno bashers lining up for a chance at fabulous cash & prizes.

I call dibs to host the pilot if Fox picks up an English-speaking version.

Through what letter(s) in the logo will the camera zoom through?

Hurry up, will ya?  If you don't tell me I'll have to throw my computer out in a rage.

Well, it begins with twenty-six models wearing nothing but a fig leaf walking out on stage...
