2010 Newbery Award winner has GS tie-in...

One of the main plots has the main character's mom preparing to go on "The $20,000 Pyramid" after three years of auditioning and her training for it- even the chapter titles are Pyramid categories...

That's pretty cool...I remember reading a book from the late Paula Danziger called Can You Sue Your Parents for Malpractice? (most Danziger titles came from a line of dialogue). In the book, a minor subplot revolves around the main character's mother going on a game show, "the one where you can win $25,000". Being the book was from around 1979, I figured they were talking about Pyramid, or maybe Whew!, but I always figured the former.
"They're both Norman Jewison movies, Troy, but we did think of one Jew more famous than Tevye."
