I think that's a question for Mrs. Harvey.

I can imagine Steve Harvey, prior to the first round, say something like what he said on Apollo and Big Time:

Steve>>"Y'all ready to play the Feud, say 'yeah!'."

Contestants and, perhaps, Audience>>"Yeah!"

Steve will maintain the fashion standards, that's for sure.

There's a fine line to walk to be your funny self while conducting the game. He's worth a shot.

And here I was thinking they had finally found someone who would be there for some time.

WOW!  Wasn't expecting this news!  I figured John was in it for the long-haul.

I'm going to be optimistic about Steve Harvey.  He's a quick-witted comedian who (I think) will do a great job at keeping the show moving along.  I think he's a great replacement.

/The Feud is in good hands.  :-)
If his comedy delivery is any indication, then he'll slow down the show. That either means they'll cut corners in other parts of the show, or they might just take out Bullseye entirely to keep a decent flow going.
I don't know about Steve Harvey's hosting style or how it will impact the show, but I have noticed that as this season has progressed, they've been using surveys with greater numbers of answers in the Double and Triple rounds. Which indicates to me that they've had a little more time than expected in the main game since the restructuring with Bullseye. So they've got some time to release back to banter if necessary.

In all fairness, John left the show. It's not like Fremantle pushed him out the door. Besides, at least give Steve a chance.

In complete fairness, we don't know that.  We just know the split was amicable enough for there to be a happy-happy press release.

My other point still stands.

Wow, this came out of nowhere. Like others have said, I thought he was in for the long haul. Can't wait to see how Steve does, I've always liked his work.
