TPiR survey

The CBS Daytime website has a link to a comprehensive survey about TPiR. I recommend you complete the survey, whether you like Drew and the show as it is now, or not.

Interesting. Many of the questions call out the things that people over at GR have been complaining about (dress, prizes, humor, etc.).

If I can spoil one of the questions....
Besides cash and cars, what’s the best prize you’ve ever seen on THE PRICE IS RIGHT?
To the producers: Note that that does not say "trips" [even though I bet some people will answer that].
There are three things I've learned never to discuss with people: Religion, politics, and the proper wrapping of microphone cables.

Note to all survey takers - inundating the surveyors with things like "I don't like Music Cue #565, play the Bean Stalker!" won't make a damn bit of difference and will only make some intern think they're dealing with a bunch of lunatics. ;-)
Cheers,

What's the over/under on "DREW SUCKS-BRING BACK BOB!!1!" comments they'll get?

And for the record, I did comment on the survey, offered my honest opinion of the good and bad.

I answered that the cash and the cars *are* the best prizes.  I also threw in there that if I saw one more trip to Las Vegas in the showcases I would throw up on my hands.

It was refreshing to fill out a survey with open ended questions.  I'm not sure if any of this survey business will actually have an effect on anything, but it felt better to type it all out.

Very in-depth and long, but questions were pointed and specific.

They know that.  That's why they worded their survey question the way that they did.  They wanted to know how you felt about other prizes.

Unless you're suggesting that the game be entirely about giving away cash and cars, that wasn't a particularly helpful response.

Problem is, if Bob was dead, you'd STILL have those same 30% saying "BRING BACK BOB." ;-?

Well, at least one did.
That'd probably be me, at least somewhat -- I said "trips that aren't incredibly-expensive with unpriceable amenities and vague descriptions" and "prizes that aren't just there for show and will be replaced by cash on the claim form".

But they probably won't listen to my opinion -- heck, I highly doubt they will given that... Well, spoiling another question:
Quote from: Survey
What other theme shows would you like to see on THE PRICE IS RIGHT?
I put, and I'm not kidding, "NORMAL shows treated with the same imagination and care as the aforementioned themed shows" (there was a checklist above). I also put "Salute To Dennis James' Tenure". ...Yeah, I know.

But in the extremely-off-chance that they do listen to me, expect a prize to show up that hasn't been offered on Price in nearly 30 years: a fur coat.

If anyone named Tom ever had an office down the hall from Barker, he should be concerned.
