It made sense, and Wikipedia backed it up (I checked, and that particular fact about the canning of LT was not changed).
Ok -- so you're basing off of a source that you don't know is an employee or an insider with knowledge of NBC programming and you're backing it up with a site that can - at times - have invalid information?  Double oy.

Dedicated to Chris; I think it's useful right about now.
Seems like NBC News has quite some power, given that they make up 80% of NBC's current daytime schedule.
Everything out of your ridiculous "statements" always has to have qualifiers like "I hear" or "I think" or "I guess" or "I believe that".

You can only dodge theories (wild guesses)-passing-as-facts for so long.

Zach! Down Zach!
I don't have many nice things to say to or about Dan at this point, but I think this particular Zach simile deserves explanation, because I don't see it.

Frankly, I'm getting tired of every time someone relates an obscurity and he's called Zach. I know plenty of obscure stuff that could be of use in threads, but maybe I'll just keep it to myself if the reward is to be lumped in with That Guy.

With pleasure. YMMV, but for me there is relating an obscurity, and then there is trying to impress everyone and throwing in the "OF COURSE you must know THIS" attitude for emphasis. For as long as I've known you, you've never done the latter.

Thanks...I think? :o

I didn't exactly relate an obscurity with mentioning Days, nor was I intending to use a stupid and foolish attitude. Those who watch NBC, or visit their website, know that the network airs only two programs on their five-hour daytime feed: Today and Days.

And frankly, using sources of questionable nature is wrong. It was stupid of me to do so, and I apologize for that.

I have no doubt it wasn't your intent, since you very obviously want badly to be accepted and liked here.

Very, very badly.

...until you do it the next time. And there is not one doubt in my mind that you will.

As long as the distinction is there, if someone can't keep their nose parallel to the ground when relating a tidbit, fire away.

(I'm all for crusading for the little guy as it says in my Binford Custom Title-inator 6100, Dan, but you're plowing through goodwill like that one guy that eats all them hot dogs real fast.)

I think it's great to have new blood on the board too. But Dan, holy craps man, you need to take a step back and re-examine your presence on this board.

You seem to be a smart guy who writes well. Now, you need to pay attention to what goes on here. Carefully read about 50 or 60 threads on the board from before you arrived on the scene. See how the discussion goes? Follow that social norm (as socially normal as a game show discussion board can be), be an active participant without spouting odd attempted-humor garbage, and you might be surprised how quickly we all forget about the weirdness that has been Dan88 so far.

The problem is that Dan has used up...many lives, from what I can tell. And every time something comes up, we get an excuse or a dodge or something, and I've run out of patience. Dan has so much as said "I know that what I did was wrong," so why do it in the first place? I give us more credit than you do, though, Mitch, I think that the vast vast majority of our number (present pleasant company included) are well-adjusted, well-meaning and fun loving guys who enjoy game shows and like to talk about 'em and joke about stuff. That's why I show up every day. The Fail pictures are just a nice bonus.

Please to be forwarding my cut. :)

Because I sometimes don't think before I act. And, since I feel like somebody here is thinking it, no I'm not a troll. I'm strongly against those kinds of morons, mainly because of the sickening sh(ooh-la-la!) they've posted on YouTube about me (using my words out of context, and twisting them to mean the complete opposite of what I intended).

I think that the vast vast majority of our number (present pleasant company included) are well-adjusted, well-meaning and fun loving guys who enjoy game shows and like to talk about 'em and joke about stuff. That's why I show up every day.
I'm not a cool guy, but I can share this sentiment. This is why I signed up here, and the site makes me proud to love game shows. As for joking around, I've tried that on this site and failed almost every time. (Unless I joke about myself, which is easy for me.)

And in the game show fandom, I'm certainly devoted to collecting rare and unusual stuff -- I've made two playlists on YouTube devoted to collecting the 150+ television pilots and pilot clips scattered around the site. I guess that makes me...unique?

/in my opinion ;)
