Wheel, J! renewed through 2014

The Hollywood Reporter reports that ABC has signed a deal through the 2013-14 season for their stations to carry the shows.

Not a huge surprise, I suppose.

Brings Sajek that much closer to eclipsing Barker as the host with the longest tenure on the same show.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

Not too surprising, given that both shows get better ratings than some of the network primetime programs. Good luck to Sajak, White, Trebek, and the rest -- in 2014, Wheel will be approaching its 40th consecutive year on television while Jeopardy! will celebrate not only its 30th consecutive season with Trebek, but its overall 50th Anniversary.

Of course, this should not rule out the possibility that anybody might decide to retire between now and then. Pure speculation here, but I think that the April Fool's episode of Jeopardy! had some other reason for the cameos by Neil Patrick Harris and Jeff Probst.

If such speculation enhances your enjoyment of the show, more power to you.
Just don't expect too many others to join you on this train.
It should have been speculatively obvious that Will Ferrel is the one the producers are eyeing.

\Does anyone else find it refreshing that posts of this type now have correct spelling and punctuation?

Then someone should tell Gordon that Probst at the minimum doesn't need an audition tape, seeing as he hosted the show for almost three years.

That's the problem...you're so scared of being lambasted here that you're trying too hard to get accepted. Loosen up, but just use your head. This forum is not rocket science.

Thanks. :) The reason I'm scared of being hated here is because I'm not the most social in real-life, and some matters with trolls in the last three months of 2009 got me on-edge for a while.

And I'll try to loosen up. Really.

Jesus Dan, stop posting. Read more, type less. You're contributing little, if any, to the conversation. It's nothing personal, but you've  quickly become known here for not exactly being knowledgeable.

Then I'll add this to thrust the conversation back on-topic -- do the new personnel contracts have a year-by-year dropout option, much like Bob Barker's did?

Also something interesting from Variety, The New York Times, and The Wrap...

Quote from: Variety
"Jeopardy!" host Alex Trebek and "Wheel" emcee Pat Sajak have also reportedly extended their respective contracts.
Quote from: The New York Times
[TheWrap.com] said that Pat Sajak, the co-host of "Wheel of Fortune," and Alex Trebek, the host of "Jeopardy!," had also renewed their own contracts.
Quote from: The Wrap
In addition, it's understood that "Wheel" host Pat Sajak and "Jeopardy!" host Alec Trebek have also extended their agreements with Sony Pictures Television, which produces the game shows.
None of them mention whether the other personnel contracts (Vanna, Charlie, and Johnny) have been renewed. Does anybody know the status of those?

It must be an unbelievable coincidence, then, that the X and C are adjacent on a standard QWERTY keyboard.
