Sherri Shepard, New host of The Newlywed Game

It was announced on GSN Live Yesterday that Sherri Shepard of The View, will now be the host of The Newlywed Game. Buzzerblog reports that the show is casting now, and the new season will begin on November 1st.

Well, that makes several View on-air personnel with game show ties - M. Viera on WWTBAM?, Whoopi on HS-Bergeron, Rosie O on $MPassword being the others.

And, of course, Barbara Walters' 10 years as a stunt girl on Beat the Clock.

IIRC, didn't Joy Behar appear on Bergeron's HSq in one of the earlier seasons?

SN: Joy's ex-husband, Joe, directed several games in the 70s and 80s, including LMaD and Fun House.
