I've just been reading wikipedia and Price Is Right announcer, Rod Roddy is credited as filling in for Gene Wood as announcer on the Bob Eubanks' version.

I don't remember Rod announcing this version.

Anyone know if he did or not?

It's not impossible.  Rod did a lot of filling in on shows where he didn't regularly announce, so it's not that far fetched.

Yeah, as an example, Rod Roddy had filled-in on at least one occasion as a substitute announcer on the CBS-TV $25,000 Pyramid during about the same time he was doing Press Your Luck.  Repeats of the show with the voice of Rod had been recently shown on GSN, no doubt, as the cable network is current showing from the 1985-86 season of that version.

It wouldn't surprise me. Depending on where it was in the run (i.e., after Gene took over from Rich Jeffries on Super Password,) Rod might have been the only other announcer MGP had working for them on a regular basis, unless I'm forgetting about someone.

Sorry guys. In spite of what Wikipedia might say, Rod Roddy never did Card Sharks - by this time, he had just taken the "Price" job and was totally devoting himself to that. Gene Wood was the regular. Their fill-in announcers were Bob Hilton, Johnny Gilbert and Charlie O'Donnell.

I would love to know who made that edit, and what jackbag is so obsessed with Rod Roddy so as to even bother making that claim without some sort of actual proof.

And he also continued to announce on PYL at the same time as doing TPIR, so it wasn't out of the realm of possibility that he would sub on Card Sharks.

The edit was made on August 25, 2008. It doesn't say, who made the edit, just that it's 72.79.107.57 So therefore, that person must be the "Rod Roddy obsessed jackbag that made that particular edit without some sort of actual proof." Here are some of his other contributions:

I changed it. Let's see what happens.

True. Pity that was about the ONLY thing he had any regard for.
