Alongside Mickey Rourke, another thing I noticed tonight:

By popular demand by multiple parties, the bonus round jackpot was raised to $25,000

which made the resulting win a lot more exciting.
I disagree on the last part.  He could've played for a million dollars and it would've been no more exciting.  Mo' money <> excitement

But he won with just seconds left. When timed rounds get down to the last second or two, I don't care how much you are playing for...it's damn exciting.

Exactly his point, I gather. The money didn't make it MORE exciting. It was exciting on its own.

I can't wait until the U.S. military declassifies this thread in 30 years.

You're right.  Watching the ep. in question on Fancast right now, it was $9,995.

The show is getting cutback in the number of airings it has. Starting this week, instead of 10 airings, it is now down to 3 airings. Thursday Nights at 11:00pm and 2:00am. Then Saturday nights at 12:00am.

Yes, to say the ratings have been disappointing is an understatement.  Apparently, GSN was doing much, much better with reruns of stuff like 1 vs 100.  A shame, because I still think it's a terrifically entertaining show.

Wasn't that the case with the most recent remake of IGAS on GSN, as well -- another strong-formatted panel show?

Flipping through the channels last night on mute, I saw that one of the subjects in the newest episode's bonus round was Gary Coleman. Since the bonus round usually includes jokes about the person and you know, it's not exactly kosher to make fun of the recently deceased, did they put a note on saying this was taped in advance or did they just go forward as usual?

They said nothing. Raised an eyebrow a little at Chez Fred (well, okay, Chez S.O. yesterday), too.

Sadly, yes.  Some fans had legitimate gripes about both shows, but both were essentially solid panel shows that failed to find an audience.  At some point, much as I hate to say it, you have to blame the niche genre.

This is the first episode ever taped for the series, so I would assume it was taped before Coleman's death.
