Wheel credits

So I'm watching Wheel of Fortune this evening, and during the credit roll, they have some title called "Flipper Gripper", and the name underneath? Pat Sajak.

I'm guessing it's an inside joke, but in case it's not, anyone know what it refers to?

He always gets some wacky title once a week during the long credit rolls.

They do that all the time whenever they do long credit rolls. During "Chicago Week", they listed Pat Sajak as "Hometown Hero".

During a Teen Week (or it may have been a College Week), he got credited as "Hall Monitor".
Fact To Make You Feel Old: Just about every contestant who appears in a Price is Right Teen Week episode from here on out has only known a world where Drew Carey has been the host.

It's probably now decided in post, but in the old live-to-tape days, they had a physical credit roll in the studio and it was whenever the a.d. decided they had the extra minute or so to roll it.

The syndicated G-T shows ("What's My Line?", "Beat the Clock", etc.) ran full credits every day.

That's probably because some stations only ran one show a week.  During the six months or so in 74 when they ran BTC, KABC had five shows that aired at 7:30pm weeknights, BTC was one of them.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

I don't think I'd mentioned it before, but I recall watching during the week of Christmas, and Sajak was listed in the credits as "Director of Holiday Cheer!"

While on the subject of credits, I've also seen that on both Wheel and Jeopardy!, the credits list under "Wardrobe," Phil Wayne!  Is it the former producer of TPIR?
