Hey--I seem to recall watching a finale of an episode, where an emcee, (I want to say Cullen), made a comment to the effect of: "There are no good-byes in this business, just a see you soon".  Can someone quote the exact verbiage and the proper person?

Thanks in advance.

(Its not in the gameshow finale megamix video, fwiw).

Eubanks. Dream House finale, 1984. Pretty sure it was "Never a good-bye in this business, just so long."

There was also one a little different than the usual on To Tell the Truth one season...something like "this is a special goodbye and it's known only to us".

Drove me crazy when I saw it on original broadcast trying to figure out what it meant.  The next week summer reruns started so it still didn't make sense.  Oh well...I was very young then!

Joe Garagiola, early 1978. Unlike What's My Line? three years earlier, To Tell The Truth knew it was the end.

I can only imagine if "Diamond Head" had done a final episode.

"Never a goodbye in this business, only good riddance."
You're in a room. You're wearing a silly hat.
There are letters on the floor. They spell "NOPE".

I thought it had an interesting format, and the Money Volcano got recycled into the PAX Beat The Clock.

But here's something you might like, Travis -- on a 1988 episode of Card Sharks, Bob Eubanks outright said that he was ashamed of The Diamond Head Game.

And at casinos across the country LONG before Diamond Head did it.

When the best thing about the show is the theme song, that's not usually a good sign.

And it's pretty much just the theme to The Wizard of Odds with a Hawai'ian feel.  Makes me wonder which Quincy or Maynard song he stole for it.
