It seems to me that the Press Your Luck episode guide sites are down.
Is that the case?

Sounds like something Today Tonight should investigate.

May I recommend: http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ for future questions of this sort.  Saves you the question and the time, plug in a URL and it'll tell you if its up or not.

It's still here, thanks to archive.org

Oh, and here's a question I have related to PYL. It's a mystery I've been trying to solve for quite a while:

If you look at the January 2 - June 29, 1984 section, you'll notice that episode #74 with Casey/Tom/Linda aired on 1/2/84. However, there actually was no new episode on that day. And I'm pretty sure Peter said that on the 12/30/83 episode. Is it possible that before the 2/21/84 episode, there was an episode that was taped but never shown?

See, this is the main reason why I wish GSN acquired the 1983-early 1984 and late 1985-1986 episodes. After seeing the lost 1985 BTS episode that made it's official debut on GSN in August 2004, I'm starting to speculate that there may have been other episodes that were taped but never shown.

Since the show had returning champions, I doubt it.  The only reason why the Aug '85 back to school ep wasn't missed is because those episodes were all stand-alones.

If Jan 2, 1984 was pre-empted, maybe it was only pre-empted in part of the country?

Nope--nationwide pre-emption.  CBS did the Cotton Bowl Parade that day in the PYRAMID/PYL/first half of TPiR slot.

There are a few errors in the guide, caused by having to make guesses on missing information.  I have an episode in my collection that's not even accounted for in any of the guides... (Tony/Sam/Aradine... should be episode #30).

There is a blank around mid-January 1984, so it's likely that everything from early January up to that time should be pushed forward a day - that would account for the Jan 2/84 pre-emption.

Years ago I printed off another episode guide that Adam Marchese did.  Although there were some omissions for fall '83, I remember adding info for a couple of them that filled some of the gaps.  I'll pull that out and compare it to this one and see if I can figure anything out :)
