Looks like TVPMM wants to get the theme from the US Copyright Office and is testing the waters WRT donations...

1) Would the USCO actually have the tape?  If so...might there be other missing gems?

2) Would you donate to TVPMM for obtaining (as I've heard it mentioned here before), the "Holy Grail" of GS Themes?

I'm going to make a guess and say all they may have is a lead sheet.

Didn't this guy have a donation fund for The Cross-Wits restoration?

I encourage all interested to make a donation to the museum.

Rest assured it is run by an honest and passionate gentleman whom I've known for about a decade. I wholeheartedly endorse and support his efforts!

I don't think he had a fund set up for the Cross-Wits restoration...

The fund he had set up was for the BMI license.

We're going to bang the drum again when it comes time for donations to the BMI fund.

A quick search of the copyright database turns up only an episode of the show on 3/4" videotape (it doesn't specify an airdate or anything) with an attached 21 page description, and a 2 page trumpet section of sheet music.  Not sure what he's trying to accomplish here.

TVPMM has created a status page for trying to acquire the music.

Enjoy lots and lots of backstage TPIR photos and other fun stuff here. And yes, I did park in Syd Vinnedge's parking spot at CBS

Did not save a master reel. He didn't even remember doing the show.
Wow. Startling.

Now I know Bud Austin's real name (Harold Augenblick). Almost as startling.

Wow - maybe this is one of those instances where it really did disappear off the face of the earth.  But...they found the entire Hollywood Squares theme - so you never know!

At least this page confirms that all the episodes exist.  Maybe we'll be lucky enough to see them again someday.

Is he really claiming that a Web site is in its "37th year"?

The Museum is. What that consists of is an exercise left to the reader.

Mike Malone's contribution sounds like a heartbreaker. I appreciate the handiwork over there; hope it turns up something.

Bud would be 90 if he hadn't died in 1986. (according to imdb.com)
