I dunno who the 'improv' guy might be but going off the short list of those who have worked with Drew on WLiiA or the touring All-Stars, Brad Sherwood might be an option. Or maybe even Chip Esten. I don't think Greg Proops has the voice for announcer. He wasn't a bad host.

Don't see Mochrie or Stiles doing it.

But the one who might be most prime for that job might be Sean Masterson, who was on the All-Stars PPV back in 2001.

If "Pyramid" gets rejected again by CBS, I would like to see Andy Richter become the new "TPiR" announcer.

A "variety show within a game show"? Three words: Big. Saturday. Night.

Another possibility that comes to my mind is Dee Baker.

Drew:
Molly, you're going to play Clock Game.  And if you can guess the prices of both prizes within 30 seconds, you'll not only win the cash bonus, but a fabulous trip.

Audience:
 To WHERE, Dee???

/Please, no.

I was thinking he could be Olmec...

Drew:  We have a great prize for you!  Olmec?
Olmec:  *grrrrroan* You can win a trip to Paris to look for The Ragged Jock Strap of Napoleon Bonaparte.

Indeed.  He's busy with American Dad!, voicing the fish.  The fish's name has slipped my mind...;-)

Well, we've gone through models leaving for various reasons, Rod passing away, Bob leaving, Dobkowitz leaving, etc.... and now Rich.

See, here's the thing - I haven't had time to watch much Price this year - I've been really busy with school and my charity work; quite honestly, I don't watch as much TV as I used to. When I did see the show and the guitar up for bids (for example), I enjoyed it. Didn't ditract from the show at all, IMO.

Bottom line: The show is a go for Season 39. Let's just see what the new "concept" is, and if it doesn't work, well, then we can start mourning / panicking. I really think that as long as you keep the pricing games and everything else we've had, a new kind of topping on the proverbial sundae might work.

And to Rich - you did great. I wasn't your biggest fan at the start (I wanted Randy like 90% of you when Rod passed away; I still do), but the guy had fun. He lived out his dream. And he left in a very classy fashion with that letter.

Does Stiles still have that Two and a Half Men gig?

While we're pulling names out of a giant red-white-and-blue hat for no good reason...what's John Henson doing the nine months of the year Wipeout isn't on?

I'd add Jeff Davis to that list.

Fifteen episodes spread out over six seasons is probably a "gig" he'd give up for regular work.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.
Stay tuned for all the obsessive-compulsive fun of Words Have Meanings.

If the Pyramid doesn't sell, they could get Andy Richter.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

This is starting to read like whenever a team fires a football coach and fans start expecting the team to hire John Madden or Bill Parcells.
This isn't a plug, but you can ask me about my book.

Been there, 2003-06. That was a rough time...

/He did get the team some pretty good current players
//Wouldn't mind having him back now given the team's look now
"They're both Norman Jewison movies, Troy, but we did think of one Jew more famous than Tevye."

Now celebrating his 22nd season on GSF!
