Las Vegas will be 6 weeks of shows, and they're also going to New Orleans later this season.

I don't know if it's just Vegas, but the red car on stage is pretty nice.

The minimum prize in the bonus round is now $30,000.

This is the Season 28 logo. You can also see it on Slide 3 of the picture slideshow in the article above.

Fact To Make You Feel Old: Just about every contestant who appears in a Price is Right Teen Week episode from here on out has only known a world where Drew Carey has been the host.

the logo reminds the Spanish edition a little, doesn't it?

I love how the caption for the photo with Vanna at the puzzleboard says "Vanna White turns letters..."

And the same photo says "during the filming of..." One of those weird TV-geek nitpicks...

The one thing I enjoy about the "game show off-season" is wondering what new gimmick is WOF gonna trot out for the upcoming season.

I can't be the only one genuinely surprised there appears to be no new "rules" this year (I don't consider a bonus round minimum boost a rule change/gimmick).

Logo looks nice, glad they've gone back to the old-school one.

Most glaring error in the article:  "Wheel was created by TV legend Merv Griffin, and Pat and Vanna have hosted the show together since 1981 when it began on NBC."  The syndie version gets a separate mention.

You aren't the only one... :) Retro-ish, but updated enough that it still looks good. I approve of something for once! :D

It's sad to see the 25k go... I'm not exactly sure what explanation outside of a mo' money bit is behind it, but it was only a matter of time in my book before it happened. I'd half expect to see a single $75k spot on the bonus wheel in the near future, but that's not exactly a big deal in my mind at this point...

Since there are no shots of the wheel itself, I'm also curious if any layout changes were done...

I like it a lot, mainly because it means they're bringing back the "old" round logo for use as the main logo, instead of being secondary to this one. It's a nice classic-modern combination.

I love how the captions repeatedly misspell Sajak.

So after 23 years, the $25,000 cash prize is retired.

Excellent and excellent.  Ironically, the last time I was in NOLA was to attend WoF tapings at the Morial Center.

The show put out a press release detailing all of the changes. In total:

- Occasionally, the show's open will feature the Miis of Pat and Vanna to promote the Wii/DS video game coming in November.
- A new puzzle, Same Letter, features all words in the puzzle beginning with, you guessed it, the same letter.
- Song Lyrics has transformed into What's That Song? It's just like the old category, except contestants win $3,000 post-solve if they can identify the title of the song.
- The minimum value in the bonus round has been upgraded to $30,000
- If a contestant wins a car in the bonus round, he also wins $5,000 in cash.

I like just about all of these except for Same Letter. It doesn't seem that unique or particularly helpful.

I was under the impression that they were trying to move away from the "$3,000 bonus" categories. Where Are We? and Slogan disappeared around the beginning of Season 26; my total ex rectum guess on the latter is that the SUBWAY, EAT FRESH incident was to blame. Next Line Please, Who Is It?, Clue, Fill In the Blank and Fill In the Number had all fallen by the wayside at that point (I'm certain the last two were the first to go), and then there was that oddball What Are You Making? that appeared only in the S25 premiere.

In any event, I'm 100% certain that Season 27 had none of the "$3,000 bonus" categories at all, so I find it very odd that they're adding a new one.
