In all honesty, I skipped the reading in my Corporations class when we got to SEC requirements (since they're not on the bar exam and I never had any intent to practice corporate law), but it's my understanding that ownership in an SEC-regulated corporation doesn't have to be disclosed unless that person or entity owns more than 5%.

So sizable - probably not.... but he may still own something.

IIRC the document I read was not a regular 10-K or 10-Q but a separate document covering the sale of MGP to All American.

I don't think he has one. His wife died in 1981, and as far as I know, he doesn't have any kids. Not that it's our business, but I can't think of anyone else he could leave an estate to...

His foundation. A trust set up for his pets. A university.

A man like Barker is not going to let his estate escheat to the state. Even if he didn't have a will, he does have some collaterals that would inherit - I think he has some half-blood relatives that I've seen at tapings before.

Interestingly, on Wikipedia's site, it says Bob and Dorothy Jo have three children who live in Chicago. Yeah, I know . . . .

Betty White.

ObBarkerComments: Fair enough comments, but as said on a different board, each host has a different style.  Might work for some, might not.  I am on agreement that Drew could try and bring out drama a bit more for the winners but there might not be time to do that.

The show is already more heavily edited than it ever was under Barker, largely because of things that Drew does or doesn't do.  As much as I dislike his refusal to aim for live-to-tape, if he wanted to add more excitement to his reveals, there's no reason he couldn't -- they could just leave that in and cut something else.

With the donations he's made to UCLA, I could see that happening. Either that or Drury, his alma mater in Missouri.

I looked up Barker's house on some real estate look-up site and it gave "Barker Family Trust" as the owner of the property.

I wonder how his dog is going to spend all that money.

http://marquee.blogs.cnn.com/2010/07/28/bo...ize-drew-carey/

Here's another article where Bob elaborates on Drew, defending that he was not criticizing Drew or anyone else involved with Price.

While Bob would be foolhardy to give an elaborate critique of Drew's performance, there's a LOT infered by him saying that "He does things differently... I try make it exciting, and Drew just plays the games." Still, he's not saying one way or another that Drew is bad or good... he DID say Drew was DIFFERENT.

In another taped interview he also said that Drew has a calmer approach to the game (he must've not been watching it lately, where Drew has been at least giving the impression that he's excited to be there... although that excitement is always inconsistent.) However, Bob also said that Ralph Edwards' approach to T or C was very manic and excitable, and Bob was neither manic or excitable when he did T or C.

And to finally finish this silly thing off, Drew responded to an interrogative TMZ photog yesterday with "Bob Barker's great... I don't think he really meant it," referring to Bob's later "clean-up" efforts. "He's Bob Barker, man, he can say whatever he wants." And that's really the only intelligent thing to take from that video, as it ends with the photog suggesting that the show should be broadcast in 3D so that the Plinko chip game will come flying out at us.
TMZ's track record on accurately reporting pop culture events: Awesome. The journalistic efforts of their cameramen? Not so much.
