Revivals in '80, '90,'00 but not '10. Do you think we will ever see another 'To Tell the Truth' or will Freemantle have the attitude of 'we've done it once and it wasn't sucessful'.

Seems that panel shows have either fallen out of favor in this fast-paced world, or the right producer just hasn't figured out how to do one. With the oddball news stories out there, I could see it working. Then again, with sites like Youtube making people "celebrities" (see Dodson, Antoine and Crocker, Chris), it might make for quite a few disqualified panelists. ;-)

I've Got a Secret was tried twice in the last decade, and neither caught on. I thought the GSN version was pretty decent, but I think it tried to reach too far with the retro kitsch.

Then again, I'm surprised The Newlywed Game has made it in the 2000s. Maybe GSN could try a new TTTT, in the same vein as IGAS, but drop the kitsch.

"They're both Norman Jewison movies, Troy, but we did think of one Jew more famous than Tevye."

Now celebrating his 22nd season on GSF!

A big challenge for a panel show today is to find celebs who can ask halfway decent questions as panelists. Paula Poundstone didn't cut it on TTTT 2000. If it's going to be people like Kathy Griffin asking the questions. I'd rather just have the memories of the old TTTT.

In a somewhat related area, Kitty Carlisle would have been 100 this September.

She alone made TTTT2000 unwatchable for me.

/The overly sexed-up Springer-esque topics didn't help.
