Before I went away for Saturday I forgot to post Treasure Hunt onto the page, but it's up now! Expect Treasure Hunt to be a regular fixture going forward.
The website template may change a couple of times today as I settle on a permanent one. Other than that, all future schedules and update information will be posted directly on the website instead of the forum.

EDIT: Cripes, I forgot to put Temptation too? Sorry. Fixed. Getting back into the swing of things folks.

I'm watching the episode of High Rollers Jamie just put up on his site, and I can't help but think--what an awesome, awesome host Alex Trebek was back in the day.

I just finished watching High Rollers.  I love these little time capsules from the past. Job Well Done.

I have one request to make these more like time capsules.

Please DO NOT remove the commercials, I think those are a welcome blast from the past.

I could not disagree with this more. I want to watch a game show. There are tons of places I can go to watch old commercials.

Interesting. It will come down to a poll which has already been placed on the site. If they're more of a detractor for a lot of people, I will edit them out going forward.

Well, my take is: the video player on your site is already enough of a PITA. If I have to click through ad breaks, too, on top of all of its idiosyncrasies, I may just not bother. JMODO.

Fair enough on a couple of points; I agree that the video player isn't the best but I have no problem with the commercials being in there, especially since it's a free service that Jamie's giving to the public.

Question: if the video player was better, would you still be against moving the timebar past the commercials?

Well, yes, I realize that. Ostensibly he wants people to use said service, though, or he wouldn't be providing it.

Certainly if the window didn't close when you click in the wrong place, that would be a vast improvement and an argument for asking me to click to bypass commercial segments.

Overall I find it tedious, but understand I'm not jumping up and down and stamping my feet, here. It's his site and he's welcome to post clips in whatever manner is most convenient for him.

People will be happy to know that the player is being upgraded. I know that it was a concern from the beginning and I really do appreciate all feedback!

I'm confident to say that "Temptation" was a good watch. Suffice to say, the ending theme was rockin' too (anyone knows who the artist was?).

Thanks for the uploads.

What's interesting is that if you see the pilot (which is on the circuit), Art James is his regular ol' bombastic self. It looks like somewhere between pilot and series, they decided to have Art play this mellow, riverboat casino-dealer type of character, which fits the show quite well.

Just saw the Treasure Hunt episode, and am curious as to how long it aired on CBN, and also why the fee plugs used the 1981 logo.

I like the retrocommercials in the context of when the show was aired..I think it adds to the viewing personally

I believe the CBN reruns aired in the mid-80s, but I think the '81 logo was used as part of a syndication package from that same era. There's a Youtube clip from a 70s episode, that was recorded from a Dallas station c. 1983-84. I would guess that the same package of episodes made its way to CBN a few years later.
