For movie posters, I prefer Jane Russell in 3D.

Wondering how long until the flat-chested bimbo jokes start

I have this on VHS.  Does that count?

And sorry, no bimbo jokes, although I did enjoy my post-show chat with Vanna.  Forgot to get my copy of her book signed though.

J.R. in 3-D?  The last thing Mr. Raygor needs is more dimensions.

/That explains his flat-chestedness.  Didn't expect that one, did you Fedya? ;-)

Are you suggesting Mr. Raygor is a bimbo?  :-|

I never said he's a bimbo, just flat-chested.

Hi!

After a quarter, the website is now seeing a summer update! The layout has changed to one that's a bit tidier and colorful.
The current playlist is still unchanged, but new shows will be appearing later in the evening.

Would it be possible for you to list what the additions/changes are? Maybe a little < hr > under the TTD graphic and a listing?

I only ask because you said it was updated today (7/2) but the playlist is the same as it was last night.

absolutely. I'm currently working on adding a spot on the page for that. You might want to empty the cache though. As of now, there is: Eye Guess, Stop Me If You've Heard This One, Family Feud, The Honeymoon Game, Wordplay, Three on a Match, and Dealer's Choice. The latter two are requested reposts. Lots more stuff coming throughout the day and night. I'll be posting a list of what to expect.

Gracias sir. I thought I had cleared my cache but I had not. Funny a hard refresh didn't do the trick though...

Care to elaborate on the error that you're getting or what's happening when you attempt to play a video?

Wordplay isn't working for me.

The video plays just fine, except for the tracking problem you acknowledge.  It's just that Wordplay has never really worked for me.

I was also about to tell you you were wrong about Stop Me If You've Heard This One, and that you had it confused with a similar format called Can You Top This?.  Turns out the only thing you were wrong about is that the original show is even older, it's actually late 1940s!  That one might belong in the "most obscure" thread.

This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.
Stay tuned for all the obsessive-compulsive fun of Words Have Meanings.

Thanks for the info! Consultation of the encyclopedia shows that it was indeed from 1948-49.
UCLA has a few 1950s pilot attempts, which is what I must have had in mind. Producers apparently really believed in this format.
Incidentally, pilot #1 features Steve Allen calling in and having a chat, and it'll eventually be posted too.

Yeah, it's funny watching some of these short-lived shows that you watched as a youngster, only to see the obvious flaws in them today (Wordplay, Your Number's Up, Time Machine, Hit Man)........ notice NBC seemed to have a pattern.
