Coming on Down to Wrestlemania?
« on: January 19, 2011, 05:37:47 PM »
So, still being a viewer of WWE after all these years, I stumbled across this article this evening.

The Price is Wrestlemania

There's no book to pimp this time, so I wonder what brings him in.

Discuss, though I don't blame you one bit if you don't.

/my respect for him only goes so far

There was no book to pimp when he appeared in the Allstate commercial either.  I'm sure he's being well paid for his time.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.
Stay tuned for all the obsessive-compulsive fun of Words Have Meanings.

Not to be nitpicky, but I had to fix that for you.

In all seriousness, you do make a valid point, and I'm sure Barker enjoyed his time guest hosting Raw enough for him to make a comeback.

Feedback was overwhelmingly positive for the night that Bob hosted Monday Night RAW, too. In addition to the prestigious Slammy Award that Bob pocketed for Best Guest Host, WWE.com took a poll among the wrestlers about who their favorite celebrity guest has been, and Bob won by a fairly wide margin.

Embarrassingly, I actually stopped and thought about it and still got it wrong.

You shouldn't be the one to be embarrassed. If people can't remember what company the ad was for, it's the commercial that failed, not the viewer.

As for me, I love me some Stephanie Courtney as Flo in the Progressive ads...I know what company they're for.
