"The Fix-Up Show"
« on: February 12, 2011, 06:21:04 PM »
I see that J. Keith van Straaten is mounting a new live game show in L.A. At least, a dating show, if you don't count those as games.

"The Fix-Up Show" seems a lot like "The Dating Game" but two friends of the subject and a celebrity do the questioning and choosing of the three contestants. Drew Carey, Dick Cavett, Margaret Cho and Wil Wheaton have portrayed the celebrity.

Anybody seen it? Looks interesting enough.

I've checked out a show or two. He's recently started streaming them online live, a great way to see it for people like me who won't be near Cali anytime soon. They're pretty enjoyable, the celebrity panelists add to the proceedings and of course, J. Keith isn't bad himself. I don't know if he'll keep the online broadcasts up, but the last two shows have been Ustreamed so keep an eye out. As far as other game show relations go, Alan Thicke is on tomorrow and I believe Kevin Pollak is scheduled for the end of next month.
