Fox didn't promote both shows at NATPE, so there's hardly any suspense as to whether they would be back come fall.

Speaking of DFTL, it looks like our local CW affiliate just replaced the Lyrics hour with Seinfeld reruns.  But then again, it looks like the CW also jettisoned/shuffled some other shows outside of primetime.

This change has also caused a ripple effect in our market as well.  Our local Fox affiliate (KFQX) was airing one Seinfeld episode at 6PM nightly before the CW affiliate started the double run this week.  Looks like the KFQX could not run Jerry's show at 6 anymore and needed a replacement, so now KFQX is running Millionaire's second run at 6PM, then our CBS affiliate (KREX - sister to KFQX) airs the first run episodes at 6:30.

I'm not even sure if AYSTA5G is even running in our market anymore.

Nonetheless, an hour of Seinfeld is a hell of a lot better than an hour of McGrath any day.

Fifth Grader enjoyed a nice healthy run which will probably resurface again in reruns on GSN within the next coupla years. Let's hope that McGrath's Lyrics never makes it to Culver City.

Well it won't be a coupla years, and it won't be GSN- The Hub picked up the reruns...

Along with a new season of Family Game Night, a new Scrabble game show and -get this- The Game Of Life with host Frank Nicotero.

^^^ Doesn't mean that, after The Hub is done running "Fifth Grader" a few times (assuming it does well-enough not to be yanked), GSN won't pick up a season or two on the cheap after The Hub is done with it.  A gameshow that's been on two networks and syndication might not be the first choice of discriminating young viewers that want to see "Transformers" and shiny new live-action cartoons.  Gameshow fans are a more forgiving bunch though.  The Hub gets first dibs on "Fifth Grader" but I'm with TimK2003: this will wind up on GSN (later rather than sooner).
