For the second time today I saw an episode of The Price is Right with only two models. Are they doing that so the announcer has more to do with the prizes or did someone not show up?

I think it's the latter; I remember the memo saying they'd keep us abreast of the situation.

Gee. I must be the only one who remembers when all you needed was two models on "Price" - Janice and Anitra.

No, not the only one. I too remember when they had only 2 models. I remember watching the first episode on Labor Day 1972, in the safety & comfort of our living room in Ewing Township, New Jersey, on a black & white TV set no less.
