Nickelodeon Double Dare question
« on: June 11, 2011, 08:30:54 PM »
Were the first set of syndicated episodes in 1988, before the short-lived nighttime version, actually shot in Philadelphia? None of the episodes I watched featured a long credit roll with the words "For WHYY: Kathy McAnn and Bill Weber". The nighttime version had them, as did the 2nd set of 1988 episodes, and the first half of Super Sloppy Double Dare '89.

Thanks anyways.

Oh, by the way, it also seems that Nick's Double Dare was the only game show I can think of in which they were on mulitple networks, and for awhile, they didn't air any new episodes on the channel it originated on. From 1988-1989 new episodes only aired in Syndication, and on Fox. The 1988-1990 Nickelodeon airings, up until the new Family Double Dare, were simply reruns. The 2nd half of the new SSDD marked the last time new episodes aired in syndication.
