How'd This Work with Bicycling?
« on: September 02, 2011, 11:48:48 PM »
I was watching Match Game 75 today, and Gene Rayburn made the announcement that starting "this Monday" a new show called Musical Chairs will debut right here on most CBS stations, blah, blah, blah.

How did that work if they were bicycling episodes?  Wouldn't only some of the country see that announcement, while the rest would see it after the premiere?

Match Game PM bicycled, being syndicated (and weekly). The daytime show ran in order.

However, I do remember a PM episode where Gene plugs Richard's new show Family Feud, but says they can't mention the network. But I doubt the PM show aired new episodes in the summertime, so by the time that episode aired, Feud likely aired nationwide.

"They're both Norman Jewison movies, Troy, but we did think of one Jew more famous than Tevye."

Now celebrating his 22nd season on GSF!
