Would the "last week" of 1961 episode be Christmas themed , assuming the date is 12/22/61?,,I have a particular fondness for holiday theme shows, not just game shows, but any genre..

It is Christmas themed!

Every indication is that GSN has not run these episodes, and of course even if they had, they wouldn't have run the original ads.  What a treat!
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.

Some facts I've learned from a bit of digging around the Cleveland Plain Dealer Archives.

The Price Is Right Primetime was aired Monday nights at 8:30 on KYW-TV 3..December 18 and 25 would have been the last 2 dates in 1961..

Another interesting thing I never knew, though not related, is that  "Rod Roddy" was a disc jockey at KYW-AM 1100 from 6-9 in the evenings at this point..Timng would indicate that he is the same Rod Roddy that announced Price Is Right for many years..Roddy was at KYW-1100 from August 15, 1961-January 1, 1962..He, along with other KYW Jocks, made an appearance November 13, 1961 at a Higbees "Christmas Open House"..

Part of a full page Higbee Ad at this time..Roddy is second from the left..
