I need a game show prize slide.
« on: August 28, 2011, 02:37:12 AM »
Hey guys.  I may have one of the weirder requests in the history of this fine board.  I am working on a game show project for later this year, and I need some help.  I need to find a copy of the prize slide they would use on game shows for "Lee Press On Nails."  I have scoured the internet high and low, and can't find anything.

If you guys could help me out, I would be most impressed.

Thanks in advance

Brian~

What you're looking for is more likely what is referred to as a "flip card".

I would start with an image like this or this and play around a little in photoshop.  I promise you that virtually nobody you're showing it to is going to say, "Hey, that's not what the Lee box looked like!"

Hopefully no one he shows it to will be hiding their eyes.

I could've sworn that the original cards showed an actual pair of hands, which means the Photoshop work would be even easier.
This signature is currently under construction.

The last :10 of this would work too:

or the last few seconds of this:

or ask these guys:

Lee Pharmaceuticals is still around but gone are their press-on nails after all the aggressive marketing they did in the '80s. With the collapse of daytime game shows in the '90s they must have decided that there was little point in continuing to manufacture press-on nails :-(

Gone? Damn.
Glad I kept a few boxes from when they were on the set at a taping.

Thank you! Frankly, they look nothing short of spectacular!   ;-))

Actually they come in handy - I used to bite my nails, now I just bite the Lee Press-on Nails instead.

There is NO truth to the rumor that a couple of former TPIR models stocked up on Lee Press-On Nails so they could scratch each other's eyes out. No truth at all.

Lee Pharmaceuticals could have made a fortune with Lee Press-On Claws.
