For anyone keeping score (not that there's many), Bob Boden out at Hasbro, Kevin Belinkoff promoted to fill Boden's shoes.allvoices.com

Since I know nothing about the desires of anybody involved in this news, I do not want to speculate. But I would like to point out that Kelly Goode is out of the position at GSN that Mr. Boden once held.

I wonder if Boden really is a fan of Reality TV? I remember someone alluded to an interview years ago, where he said that he outright hates it, but then goes to work for Fox Reality, and found himself to be perfectly happy there.

I hate roulette and blackjack, but if it was necessary to work in a casino that offered only those games, I would do it.

I think the difference here is that at his level, Bob Boden has just a *little* more flexibility to pick his next job than Mark Odor does.

I work in a regional grocery store.  If I could work in one that didnt sell beer/wine, etc..I would go there in a heartbeat...It's called knowing what you have and being grateful for it..

Believe me, I understand where you (and Mark) are coming from, because there is great security in knowing that I get a check every week that allows me to exchange green rectangles for food and lodging, and if for some reason that check stops coming I need to find another source for green rectangles pretty quickly.

My point is that when you get up to the salary level typical of network executives, if that check stops coming, assuming you haven't been pissing it all away on hookers and blow, the need to reinstate the flow of green rectangles isn't quite as immediate as it might be for you or me. And as such they would be able to focus a little more on "live to work" as opposed to "work to live."

Many solutions were suggested for this problem, but most of these were largely concerned with the movements of small, green pieces of paper, which is odd, because on the whole, it wasn't the small, green pieces of paper which were unhappy.

To do this right, you have your lawyer add a "hookers and blow" rider to your contract.

Well let me put it to you this way, all the radio stations in my neck of the woods play country music.  I worked as a board operator at one operating the board for Alabama and High school football.  If I had an opportunity to go to a station that played classic hits and aired Auburn football I would jump on it.  See  I was getting my feet wet in the business and Boden I believe was looking for a steady job.

My first thought was that this was all pre-planned; Boden is picked to help jump-start the network and train his successor so that once the Hub is fully up and running, the next guy can take it from there.

Have to wonder though, how will the Boptagon fit in his basement?

Why would they do that?
