Its a classic!  Ahmad Rashad wore a Carolina Panthers Jersey and threw a football across the studio.  Whatever contestant caught it got to place a letter.   There was a lucky slot but it was played for Ruby Tuesday gift certificates not cash.  Ahmad threw too many incomplete passes and was replaced halfway through the taping with Rolf Bernerschke who did better.

There is an old 1st generation copy of the Family Feud master reel cues in a reel-to-reel box, still stashed above the ceiling tiles in the men's room (stall #3) on the 8th floor of the old Goodson-Todman World Headquarters at 6430 Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles -- if you ask nicely, the 8th floor receptionist will give you the rest room key so you can see for yourself.

Are you sure on that? I was told that's where they're hiding the version of the All Star Blitz theme that doesn't have the scatting in it.
That's good to hear.  In that place, the scat should be in the toilets.

Mark!  Stop lying to the kid.  The Carolina Panthers didn't exist until after Caesar's Challenge premiered.

Ahmad Rashad wore a Drew Bledsoe jersey.

Ten billion yen.

You have to be specific on which pilot you want the recap of - there were several.  I've got one where Ahmad and Dan switched places.  The producers wanted to see if that arrangement would work better.  One of the contestants did so well that he won over $100,000.  Since the scoreboard only held 5 digits, Ahmad had to go over and hold up a finger indicating the "1".  Luckily it wasn't the middle finger.

You're right. It was ten billion Zimbabwe dollars.

I've heard that claim before, but never have seen the evidence to back it.
