I think that, regardless of how much one cares about the celebrities, the various personalities make for an extremely entertaining mix.
I'm glad you enjoyed yourself, and I'm personally looking forward to seeing it, but I'm sorry, this statement just can't be true.  If there are nine people I don't like (or even six or seven) then what they do is not going to be extremely entertaining to me.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.

I agree with you. He said celebrities he doesn't care about; I didn't necessarily equate "doesn't care" to "doesn't like".

Forgive me for speaking out of turn, but shouldn't we be happy for Christian and congratulating him on his appearance, as opposed to going on about "cups of meat" (what the hell does that mean?) and questioning his opinion of a final product no one has seen?

Christian, you have my hearty congratulations and retroactive good luck. I hope that my five-square win strategem was put to good use.
If you didn’t create it, it isn’t your content.

And if Mark's reduced to eating cat food, I would encourage him to find another line of work. :)

"I like to do just like the rest, I like my sugar sweet
But guarding fumes and making haste
It ain’t my cup of meat"
- Bob Dylan, "Quinn the Eskimo (Mighty Quinn)"

"I like to go just like the rest, I like my sugar sweet
But jumping queues and making haste just ain't my cup of meat."
- Manfred Mann, "Mighty Quinn"

Just to add to the meat/cup discussion
This isn't a plug, but you can ask me about my book.

  • Just leave the set; that’d be terrific.

I thank you.

For what its worth, Maid-Rite back in the midwest offers this as a low-carb offering.

Any show that keeps Ashy Larry on television is all right in my book. :-)

Nice set...I like the nightclub atmosphere.

A pretty in-depth article about the show appeared in the New York Times today.

Points to Mr. Killah for recognizing the Pyramid theme.

Sadly, I closed the window accidentally and now can't see the article because of the NYT paywall, so I don't know if there were any more bits of wisdom contained therein.

Does a link to the single-page, printable article help? I'm not sure how the paywall works.:

Or maybe just a direct link to page 2:

I am impressed that they got a few staffers from Bergeron's version. That makes me very confident.

Parts of the article give me the impression that some of the stars (maybe just one or two, no biggie there) are just there to collect a check, but overall it sounds like they had fun. The show sounds like it's in good hands.

I completely forgot to mention, on the left side of the page is a link to a cool additional four minute video accompaniment to the story, with clips from the show and backstage comments. (Direct link to the video at their video site here. I'm looking forward to this.
