It gets ratings. Not being a smartaleck, but I'm sure that's a lot of the reason.

GSN hasn't shown Barker's TPiR in 12 years and I doubt they'll start now.

It does, but for once in his life abba has a point. I was watching the first GSN I'd watched in a LONG time the other day and it was a damned lot of Feud. It's like they're not even trying anymore.

Thought I brought it up, but out of curiosity, how many hours of a daily schedule consist of Feud?

how many hours of a daily schedule consist of Feud?
Five hours (10 shows) each day Monday-Friday:

12:30am, 1:00am, 9:00am, 9:30am, 4:00pm, 4:30pm, 5:00pm, 5:30pm, 11:00pm, 11:30pm (Eastern time)

On Monday, it's also on from 7pm-11pm (8 more shows in 4 hours).

On Saturday, it's on continuously from 5pm through midnight. That's 14 shows over 7 hours.

On Sunday, it runs from 3-6pm and from 11pm-midnight. So there's another 8 shows over those 4 hours.

Total for a week: 40 hours of The Feud......80 episodes

Thanks Dave. Yeah, I could see how that could get old fast. Reminds me of how TV Land does with their schedule sometimes. Honestly, it seems that cable programmers in general have become quite lazy with the content; anything that gets ratings automatically gets 2 or 3 hour daytime blocks.

/Will save my full cable rant for another time
//Love my Roku setup though

And yet some people complain when TCM shows the same movie in two consecutive months.

Add to that the Harvey Block on Wednesday Nights from 7pm-Midnight, and you get 50 hours of Family Feud a week. And out of all of those, only 5 of those showings are Dawson.

We do? Forty plus five is fifty?
If you didn’t create it, it isn’t your content.

10 episodes in that block, not 5.

I already had 11pm-midnight accounted for each weeknight, but, yes, I missed the extra block on Wednesday nights (7-11pm).
So that adds 4 hours (8 shows) to the mix making the adjusted weekly grand total 44 hours (88 shows).

168 hours in a week....and FF gets nearly a quarter of them.

80 episodes + 10 episodes = 90 episodes, or 45 hours.

Could be worse...Hallmark moves or ditches stuff after a week or two if it's not performing.

And out of 168 hours, GSN airs Feud for just over one-quarter of a week. Yeah, I'd say they're not trying. The thing is, how many of the remaining 123 hours does GSN use for infomercials? Because those shouldn't be considered, IMO.

If they insist on showing this much, at least replace Karn and O'Hurley with Combs and Anderson (Combs because GSN never got around to his finale and much of Challenge), Anderson because it'd be something different).
