"My Journey To The Hot Seat"
« on: August 10, 2012, 02:37:53 PM »
I've been working on an essay detailing my journey from New Haven to the hot seat on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, and it's finally published online -- at Trilon, a "magazine of long-form articles, opinion pieces, reviews and other apocrypha, dedicated to the art and science of the game show."

Check out part 1. More chapters forthcoming.

While you're there, check out some of the other pieces by Cory Anotado (pacdude). It's very well done, I think.

Good story.  BTW, was this the MDQ you were talking about?

"By the time I woke up, the previously relaxed environment had turned into a carnival of legal documents, lawyers, producers, production assistants, makeup ladies, and caterers."

Catheters???

Oh, wait, I misread. Never mind.

Don't be so sure; I bet the backstage wait is draining.

So apparently, when I said "in five parts," I meant three. The final chapter of my Millionaire story is now online:
