This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.
Stay tuned for all the obsessive-compulsive fun of Words Have Meanings.

You told me to unplug my computer for a few days. That certainly made it out to seem like I'm a lifeless loser.

But that's not "gameshowlover87, you have no life outside of the Internet."
But of course it is! Just like calling him an obnoxious, self-centered know-it-all* is the same thing as comparing him to Zach.

Best thing that GSN can do in 2013: American Bible Challenge season 2 (and season 3), a 5th Grader or Minute to Win It revival, and acquire Wheel of Fortune
The best way to describe your best case scenarios.

Okay, I'll play along.

I'll give GSN a 9 (because, no one's perfect, right?). They've had highs and lows with the American Bible Challenge and DWTS.

How about 2013? More PYL and Card Sharks and maybe another surprise acquisition. There are plenty of opportunities and GSN has proven that they can surprise me.

Two lines. My thoughts in two lines. Move over Shakespeare.
Me: Of all of the game shows you've hosted besides Jeopardy!, like High Rollers or Classic Concentration, which is your favorite?
Alex Trebek: I'd have to say To Tell The Truth, because it was the first time in my career that I got to sit down while I was hosting.

It will probably just be the same 50 over and over and over again for both shows till the tapes stop working (slight exaggeration there). Count on it.

Or as our Neighbors up North would call it, "Mad Dash" Mode.

Huge exaggeration there! They will just dub the tapes over when they show signs of wear and rerun those fifty episodes until the End. Of. Time.

Forever.

For all time.

And you'll keep watching.

That's a little much. The 50 episodes will go through cycles every 2 and a half months. So 'Episode 50' of the lease will be seen again around March 10th. It's not as bad of a rerun cycle as Engvall Lingo. The 50 episode lease just seems odd, even for GSN.

The two Pyramid hours are also nice, but that's not working as well as the two separate Woolery hours did in Mid 2010-June 2011. Let's hope something else big is coming to daytime.

Ok how about this. How would you rate GSN in 2012 on a scale on 1 to 10? (10 being excellent, 1 being horrible)

Threeve.

Eleventy.
(sigh) Can't one of you guys be serious?

I'd give 2012 for GSN an 8.5. A full point for everything with Dancing with the Stars, and another half a point for some schedule issues, especially 12-2pm weekdays at times this year.

Best thing that GSN did in 2012: Harvey Feud, American Bible Challenge, Minute to Win It acquired

Is this a whoosh moment?
I suppose you can still learn stuff on TLC, though it would be more in the Goofus & Gallant sense, that is (don't do what these parents did)"- Travis Eberle, 2012

If Press Your Luck wasn't preempted two days during Thanksgiving week, the last episode of the 50 episode lease would have aired on 12/21.  The end of the world is supposed to happen on 12/21.  Coincidence?
